Hey cool cats.

I have been in the market for a Tremolo pedal forever and a half. My favorite one to date is a Danelectro French Toast... the forty dollar cheap piece of crap plastic one... it has no true bypass, and it's cheaply made, and it increased the volume by 25%. If only they made a souped up one.

I've been eyeing a fulltone Supa-Trem for the past few months, but have always kept the H&K Rotosphere in the back of my mind.

Who owns what? Who thinks what of what? Just a sidenote... the BOSS tremolo pedal and the Dunlop Tremolo pedals are not for me. The Dunlop Rotovibe is okay, but not quite what I'm looking for... it increases the volume and bleeds the sound.

Opinions?

I'm with you. I didn't like the Boss Tremolo at all. If you don't want to spend alot, the Voodoo Labs tremolo sounds nice. I kind of fake a tremolo from my Zvex Ringtone. It's a ring mod, but if you slow down the rate enough, it can double as a trem.

Have you tried the Keeley modded BOSS tremolo?
They solved the volume drop problem, and it can double as boost in clean mode.

Arrgh that Keeley!

I tried a Keeley modded pedal a few months ago, and found it to be pretty neat. my problem is that I am forever tainted from the BOSS monicker. I've had nothing but failure after failure with thoss pedals. (them and DOD's are the worst for me.) By no means am I knocking the company. I'm sure their pedals do their job for some people. It just isn't for me. Also with Keeley, if I don't like it, it's not like I can just send it back and get a refund...

What I am looking for is a pedal version of an old F****r 60's vibrato. I used to have a '63 Pro, and regret getting rid of it every day... well not really... the Dr. Z kicks its ass in fourteen different ways. To achieve something of that creamy-to-motion-sickness calibre would be dreamy.

Thanks for the help so far.

I just picked up a Carl Martin Surf Trem recently. Inexpensive, nicely built, and sound great. I'd recommend it.
