The Australian Socceroos have made it through to the second round in the soccer world cup. In only the second time that we have competed in a world cup. The first time being in the 70's.

This is pretty exciting, seeing as though just making it to the world cup was a suprise in its self.

I'm not even much of a soccer fan nor a patriot.. but this is pretty exciting.

I'll admit I've enjoyed watching some of the world cup games. Too bad we(The US) can't field a better team, but all of our best athletes are in other sports such as basketball and American football. Some of the officiating has been horrible and I can't stand all the diving, but soccer is alright in my book. My team for this world cup is the Netherlands for no other reason than I'm of Dutch ancestry. :D

most of our talent plays rugby league, rugby union, afl, cricket or swims (think we can get together a decent water polo team though.. hehe no way)...

I'm American so I really never get to enjoy how our team does in the men's World Cup. They always disappoint me. I follow the women's World Cup since the US women are always at least in the finals. Should be interesting to see how the girls do next time with all the vets like Mia Hamm and Brandi Chastain retired.

It really interests me at how 90% of the world's population is following this yet not here in the US...very strange...coverage here is minimal.

Don't forget golf. We're kicking arse on the US tour this year.

Well on the US subject at least everyone is invited to this world cup/series.....

Now it gets interesting, penalties are back just to make the draws more fun. Good luck to all.......(especially the French who play tonight):D

You guys got cable out there in the desert? Here on the right bank every game is televised on ESPN and ESPN 2.
