For those of you who did not see it, here's what it was like...
Jeeps picked us up right at the hotel and we were on our way!

Artichoke seedlings en route...

This canal brings water from the Colorado river into the area to irrigate the farmland.
________________________________________________
Sink-hole? Hey, we're right along the San Andres fault!
________________________________________________
Here's what the palm trees look like naturally.
________________________________________________
And they lose their lower, dried leaves to fire -
usually due to lighting strikes or spontaneous combustion due to friction.
________________________________________________
Siggy checking out a wood-pecker hole - hmmm...
________________________________________________
Them palms can be a bit thorny...
________________________________________________
Walking the canyons...

That's our driver Jim with our ride - the Ghostwalker...

In case you get lost in the desert...

Came across this little ol' mining town...
(BP - this company throws parties out in the desert. Company picnic stuff.)

Got thrown in jail with this ol' timer...
________________________________________________
...then got sprung and made a run for it!
________________________________________________
Nice place for a cold, er, warm one!

We didn't have the heart to tell Rob it was just a bail of hay...
