I've seen a lot of comments about how much output a bass sends to the amp. I'm wonderig if output can be measured and if yes, how? Is there an expected amout of output, or a range that can be expected by bass type - Ray. Bongo Sterling - different pup configs etc.. I would like to test the output of my Ray relative to any available output "spec".

I bleeb output can be measured as voltage? But it's so hard to really measure methinks, cuz the output depends not only on the volume but also how you attack the strings.
