i've been thinking about hanging a hook or two on my wall so that my basses can hang out of harms way and be decroative when i'm not playing them. i was talking to my mom about it and she said that it might be an issue to put it on an outside wall becase you're not supposed to do this with pianos where the temperature difference will effect them or something. apparently the walls in my house are really really well insulated, but i was just wondering if that was an issue that would stop me from hanging a bass there.

Should be fine. I dont think the temperature difference can be that drastic depending on what wall it is near, but you can never be too safe.

I have my three basses hanging by String Swings on an outside wall, and so far, no real issues...It's been literally almost 100 degrees each day. Remember that the bass itself isn't touching the wall...it's probably about 3 inches from it, so unless you're talking about something totally uninsulated, I can't imagine it will be a problem.

And to top that off, I have the music men, 4 other basses, and my dads gibson/prs collection hanging on a wall in my dads basement studio, and everthing is fine. Installation is a tricky one on that though.

PS When you see a Bongo hanging on a wall, your eyes are instantly attracted to it, even with boutique guitars around it, the Bongo still wins!
