Question P/U Covers on 25th Anniversary Bass

Aloha Folks,

Anybody know if the p/u covers on the 25th anniversary bass are removable or is it glued to the pickups? Just wanted to "hot rod" my bass and give it a custom cosmetic look, possibly w/ wood p/u covers. Appreciate if anybody can give insight on this...thanx.

Seriously, it's your call but... think depreciation, devaluation and mutilation before you proceed, this is the friendliest advice I could give and I hope you don't take offence to it.

as long as he doesn't throw away the pickup covers or hack anything up it's fine. The pickup covers on every other EBMM bass i've encountered have been removable, so i would imagine the 25th ones are too.

I wouldn't, 25th's may become collectable some day. If you do, don't do anything that can't be undone.
ps. about 25years ago I wrecked a pickup changing covers, be carefull.

Hahah...no offense taken...I know what you are saying...stock cars always looked best to me...once they get hot rodded, it looks pretty cheap...

I was thinking about wood p/u covers...flamed maple top to match my flamed maple body...painted in the same red tone...you think that'll look pretty bad? Jus' toying around w/ the idea...no commitments made yet...
