Good Morning!
I am Brazilian musician and have a music man bass sting ray serial number: E37429

I'm scared and luthiers I took the instrument are too!

The paint and varnish are cracking, from the rear to the front of the instrument!

I want to know who I need to talk and what to do to have my bass in original condition when I bought it?

I preferred not to display photographs in Brazil web forums for information. Our bass players are very conservative and overly critical.

I hope to find a solution with you or someone who has gone through size constraint.:(

Thank you all.

Definitely contact customer service as Rod said. The first few pictures looks like the consequence of expansion of the wood. There's several things that can cause this but it has to be something dramatic for it to crack a catylyzed clear. The last picture just looks like a product of that ding right in the middle of the crack. Just my $0.02. Let the big boys on the left coast handle that. Good luck!
