My EVH has seen almost no playing time over the past several years. Even worse than that, is that we moved to a humid environment (live right on the water, fresh not salt) and the guitar has spent most of its time on a stand, not in the case. Anyway, most of the screws that hold the back plates on, have a hint of rust/corrosion on them, as do the black blocks in the tremolo that hold the strings in. Anyway, I was told a while back that Toys in the Attic in White Plains, NY does great setups, and I was thinking on having them replace all these tarnished parts. Is this a good idea?

I also put a d-tuna on it several years back, which I think was just a waste, as I never use it, plays havoc with tuning. Thinking on taking that off too.

I think I will be keeping it mostly in the case when not being played, maybe with a de-humidifier in there as well.

Any advice guys? Oh, its a purple, born 11/93.
