I just scanned in a few old EB reviews and posted them to The Bass Whisperer website. Some of them are from the now de-funked Bass Guitar magazine (not the UK mag) and some are from Guitar World. You may have seen them before or not, and I doubt you'll be surprised by what I have to say... but what the hell, read them anyway.

Ed Sometimes walking just doesnt burn enough calories...Do you have a jogging bass lines book? Thanks...your pal SB

No, for that you'll need to get Bass Fitness by Joquin DesPres...

Gives a new meaning to the phrase "pumping wood"

Just curious if the review files I put up are easy enough to read? I'm trying to work out my scanning strategy. I have TONS of old articles I want to put online.

Looking good, Ed, and thanks for doing this. I do have a few comments, if you don't mind.

First, I'm primarily interested in EBMM content so I've only opened those links. The 20th didn't fully scan (even though it doesn't affect the article), however I can fully zoom in and out (which I like). The other 3 are jpg's which only allow for one zoom. Personally, I prefer pdf's which give me better control over viewing the document.

Thanks again, Ed, and I always enjoy your articles and videos.

Hmm, the 20th should be both pages next to each other. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it didn't fully scan.

Cool. Really like it!
Maybe Tbone means that you can't view the whole page on the screen without scrolling. At least I can't on my Macbook.
But I just hook it up to my 20" screen and everything is just fine!

Haven't seen the articles before btw! Really like 'em. And bookmarked your site. Thanks for posting here and let us know!

Thanks a lot for putting them up.

For me the downloads worked fine. Naturally, it would be cool to have PDFs with OCR representation of the text for searchability, but for just consuming the articles the JPGs are fine.

Hey Ed,

Only the Sterling 5 doc doesn't fully come through on my screen. I'm on an iMac with a 20 inch screen so maybe it's something on my end. The article is all there, just part of the header where the box on the right starts. Also, there's nothing in the box on the right (pic of the bass is there though).

Again, the article is all there for us to enjoy. Thanks again for doing this.

Hi Ed & T-Bone,

First of all Ed thanks very much for posting your reviews for us - it's probably clear to everyone I have a severe Bongo 6 addiction-affliction and the review was great. (Always appreciate the YouTube ones as well, there's nothing like seein' and hearin')

Like T-Bone I'm on a Mac (iMac and Macbook) and I also have a problem seeing some of the text in the Sterling article - for me the box text is all scrambled. Maybe it's an OSX thing but I've seen something similar before but only with certain pdf's generated by Windows machines so I'm not sure what's causing the problem here. I'd also agree with T-Bone on the format, pdf's are generally more flexible than simple image scans if you can see your way to providing them.

Many thanks!

Neil

We're just having our morning coffee. A bit early for a pint. Well, I guess it's 5:00 pm somewhere. ;)
