Congratulations! I feel your pain as I ordered my PDN last week and go overseas today. It won't be in my hands until Wednesday but my cycle of pain is nearing it's end whereas yours is beginning.
You can always ease the suffering by buying more gear. :D

That's great news, the wait will be worth it! I would demand they send you some pictures of it, to ease your pain!

I have asked but I wont be holding my breath! Any word on yours yet?

wow 3 Reflex and a 25th, way to go man :)

It has been a long (and Expensive) journey finding "THE" guitar and when I found MusicMan I knew I was there, but until I played the reflex I thought I had found my "brand" when I got my reflex I knew I had gone one better and found "THE MODEL". One day when I am rich, I will own one of every MM Model (as I have bought and sold my way through the range already) but for now the reflex/25th has it all for me!!

I already tried that, hence the 25th!!! It is helping ease the pain I have to say!

Nope, nothing yet.. But I trust it will be here soon! And you will be pleased to know I will keep my Reflex. Have played more the last weeks, and I think I can't part with it!

Glad to hear you are keeping your Reflex, I think they are such playable and versatile instruments!

Great news! Can't wait to see some pics of your new beauty once you picked it up.

Will post some pics of the reflex/25th family when I pick it up, the 25th has one of the suckiest tops I have seen and the neck has too much birdseye!! ;0)

Correct me if I am wrong but you have a rosewood neck 25th dont you? would love to get one of those, rosewood necks are my favourite, if only I could find a 25th with one or have it as an option on a Reflex!!

Well, I picked up my reflex on Saturday, let me start by saying that the finish is simply stunning, the fingerboard is amazing (as are the little dots!!) despite being made of mahogany which most times you assume is going to be heavy (My AL HH should have taught me otherwise!!) I think it is probably my lightest Reflex and the tone.....simply to die for, definitely the most resonant reflex I own as well with a bit more punch and brightness than the others. When playing over backing tracks I really notice that the tone seems to jump out of the mix a little more.

I say all of this first so that its clear I LOVE the guitar, but I have to say that I was really disappointed with the roasted maple when I first got it out of the case, well finished and smooth as, but next to no figuring, a few dots of birdseye and a few sporadic patches of flame, I could literally feel my heart sink. After several days of playing I am realizing that my initial disappointment is probably due to the amount of highly figured necks that have been popping up on the forum because, the Pau Ferro is stunning, the little dots are mini works of art and as always the finish of the neck is is without comparison.

Time will tell but at the moment it is without doubt the best sounding and feeling (Neck finish wise) reflex I have. I usually play rock/Blues and the guitar works beautifully for that, but I really think the wood and neck combo works well for heavier sounds as well, would kill to hear what Deano could do with one (no I will not send you mine!!).

I know, no pics, no guitar, will try and get some batteries for my camera soon and get some pictures up!!

One thing I was wondering and this is for MM, do these guitars come strung with Cobalts????

Welcome to the very small PDN Reflex club.

I have to admit. I pretty well hated mine at first. It was such an impulse purchase and I never owned (or played for that matter) a reflex. I even listed it in the for sale section before (thankfully) the mods took it down because I didn't have enough posts. I was just about to list it on the bay when suddenly I began to like and then love the darn thing. Usually I adapt quickly to necks and body shapes but this one was just being stubborn. I've hardly touched my JP6 since. The tone is sickeningly good. I'm a big Lifeson fan and the guitar absolutely nails his 70's and early 80s sound. Surprising, it does metal quite well too. Very articulate ...which is what I was not expecting from a chambered guitar. I'd be interested to know how many of these are in the world. I'd guess 6 or less.

I have a regular Reflex and also had it up for sale for a while to fund a PDN Y2D purchase. But I fell in love with the Reflex again, it is a brilliant guitar (still prefer the AL HH though..). So I won't sell it. Concerning the number of PDN Reflexes produced I think it is possible that you and Barny are the only members of the PDN Reflex club..

Speaking of PDN: Hurry with those pics Barny, as they will help me through my pre-PDN waiting time! :D

I agree 100%, while I don't play much metal any more I found myself amazed how much I was still loving the tone of the guitar as I dialled up the distortion to levels I don't normally go to while the guitar still really retained its character. I am not saying the other Reflex's I own don't but the PDN really sings.

As to the size of the club we are now members of, all I know is that there was one ordered for the UK and one in the States, other than that I don't know, but it is a very very small club! Glad you stuck with the reflex!

Okay, 1, I have a terrible digital camera. 2, I am a terrible photographer. 3, it is dark and dingy in England and by the time I got home there was no decent light to take pictures with.

I promise to get better pictures of all my Reflex guitars at the weekend and upload them.

First up, terrible shots of the PDN.

To apologise for those poor pics, here are some of the shots of my recently bought 25th Anniversary guitar taken by the shop I got it from. Yeah, I know, how dare I complain about a neck lacking figuring when I own this, both the neck and the top SUCK.
