I have the original Strobostomp (the blue one). It's an awesome tuner- extremely precise (so you can intonate), easy to read on stage (so you never need to worry about being out of tune). I've got it set to mute when engaged so I tune silently.

It's a few bucks more than your regular tuner, but I highly recommend it. The only downside with the original was the poor quality of the jacks, but mine's on a board so the jacks don't get much movement. I believe they've fixed this on the II.

Excellent products and customer support. I upgraded to the StoboStomp II and recouped most my investment selling the first model. The SS II is a bit better made and has less battery drain. Highly recommend!

Mick is using a Peterson Strobostomp II on stage and the new flip version in his shop. Perhaps he should chime in and state his experiences...

Like Axilla said I use a strobostompII onstage like many of my customers do for a few months now.
Incredible piece of gear and compared to the former analog peterson stuff just as accurate and ridiculously cheap. True bypass and 30 times more accurate than a regular tuner. Be sure to not use a sweetened preset with a compensated nut just the equal tempered.

The verion II is not the same thing, complete update. Check out their forum.

John Norris is a great guy and he helps you in all of your questions.

Let´s not waste BP bandwith talking about other brands.

All I can say buy one, get used to it a few hours and you´ll be more than happy.
EBMM uses Peterson Tuners to set up their instruments!

Thanks for the input. I've read a lot on the tuner but it's great to hear real world recommendations. The fact that EBMM uses them pretty much sealed it for me.

I have one. It does take a little getting used to, but once you do it's great.

It wants FRESH batteries. As the batteries go, the display still lights up but the characters disappear. Take the battery out and you'll find it still gives you the "tongue zap," but it just doesn't have enough voltage left to run the tuner.

I recently got the strobosoft software too. Works great if you are homerecording a lot. Now I have three different systems of them, all work great.
Ernie Ball, Musicman + Peterson the same league of product and customer service!!
