Pete must have lots of gigs this weekend. When I emailed him saying I was driving down to buy the Axis.....it was removed from the site within minutes......
Being that Don is a car nut, I'm pretty sure he is talking about my chick magnet of a '68 Barracuda, which is almost finished. It has been a labor of love/hate for the past 6 years, and should be hitting the street at the end of July.
Is that a 340? I'm used to seeing hemis (obviously not one) and 440 six packs, but that looks like a small block. I don't know visually the difference between a 340 and 318, but I gotta think with all that air capacity, it's gotta be at least a 340........tell please...
318, 340, and 360 blocks are all externally the same size and have the distributor vertically mounted at the rear. 383, 400, 440, and 426 Hemi blocks have the distributor in the front of the block, at an angle. 383 and 400 blocks are of the same external size, while the 440 & Hemi blocks are larger. I believe there is a 2" difference in the crankshaft & camshaft centerline.
This one is a 383, and no new 25ths yet. 2-3 weeks, it's vacation time for DuBaldo Music!
I'll try and find a pic of the 340 that is in my Dart...
