Nice to hang out with some fellow forumers. I have pics that I didn't have a chance to dump out of the camera yet. Steve was great, answered lots of questions, injected a lot of humor into his talk, and played the crap out of a Y2D as well as his #1. He seemed genuinely impressed with the Y2D, like he had never seen or played one before, LOL. I walked away with a few new ideas for practicing.

Thanks to EB, the DuBaldos and everyone else involved. It was a fun time.

That y2d was store stock, sounded super killer, and will most likely appear on stage at the Deep Purple concert tonight; I know I'll be watching for it... I'll get some clinic pics up later today if I have the time - lots to clean up & organize.

I was floored. Steve tuned up #1, then grabbed a y2d off the rack and checked the tuning, at which point he said "Wow, this guitar sounds really hot!" Throughout the clinic he mentioned how awesome that particular guitar sounded at least 3 or 4 times, and he kept looking at it like he couldn't believe what was in his hands, so I made sure it went out the door with his tech. That guitar has some SERIOUS mojo to it, in addition to Steve's monster playing.

I'm also short an ENGL Powerball 100w head. That one left with a teacher, maybe I will get it back...

i totally agree with both tommy and lou......it was a great afternoon/evening for those of us that got there nice and early. I took my brother with me who had only played my jp and he's totally digging eb's, what took him more was how cool all the guys were when hanging at bellers. I told him about the dargie concept the forum get togethers and i think he's rdy to drop his love for gibsons and move on to biggier and better things lol. My highlights had to have been ofcouse steve, who was excellent his humor was great, took time to answer the questions and played some great stuff. Next highlight had to have been watching freakin tommy being a freakin genious with these guitars (those that were there know what i'm talking about) He almost convinced me to get an engl lol....they sound great!

Pete thx again bro great great night!!! and nick way to hold the fort down while pete was running ragged lol........

Well I, for one, am jealous as hell of you cats that got to catch this event.

Pete's a class act for sure, so I would expect nothing less than an awesome event.

Now let's get some pics and video up here pronto ... ;)

Hi Pete

Can't wait to hear how it went. Let us know if you do not get the Y2d back tonight!

We will find a replacement! (My guess is you will not see it again)

All good!

DB

ps for all of you who missed this event, we are planning a double clinic with Dave La Rue and Steve Morse at the open house on Friday Sept 28th.
