petrucci 7 or 6?

Yeah I borrowed one at the shop, a ibanez RG 7 string. I can keep it for a couple of days, but I dont think thats enough time for me to get used to it. First impression is that I dont really like it the neck is just too wide for me, so I think I'm going to order the 6 string and wait another 3-6 months, so I'll be waiting over a year for my guitar to arrive.

why do guitars take that long?

MM bass only take 3 months, right?

He is in Holland, maybe that makes a difference? idunno In the US, I've seen most people get them in 3 - 3 1/2 months

Johans...I only play guitar, although I have 2 basses. My Mom plays bass(a Sterling) and my wife is learning to play bass

yeah you're right it took 8 months for the guitar to get here (the Netherlands), normally it takes about 6 months (so I was told), too bad it was the wrong one. I'm going to order the 6 string again and this time it would be an emergency order or something like that so it would take a couple of months less.
