Ok...so it seems not even I is devoid of issues with these instruments. My back up Pet is now my main for the time being, the Desert Gold apparently has a severe wiring issue, and when plugged in, produces about a quarter of the volume. :(
The jack seems like it doesn't grip the cable tip tightly at all either. Can any of you guys help me here? I've checked the solder joints and everything is copasetic. I played it yesterday and it was fine, now tonight I plug it in and nothing....can a faulty ground, such as the one attached to the trem claw cause this? I'm gonna go shed a tear for my fallen comrade now....wah.

I mean, I'm uber experienced with the ways of setup and wiring, but I've never seen (or heard ) this happen to any instrument I've had, and I baby my shat....

One more question....any reason as to why the ground on the trem is soldered on the bottom? This makes it a bitch to get at if that's the cause of my ills. Methinks I shall move the trem ground to the top of the claw, I'm guessing I can just clip that for now, since it's a pain to get under there. I can clean it up if i ever need to remove the claws.

Here
I'm thinking bad connection at the battery box..No output usually means battery probs.

Update....After meticulously resoldering all the connections, it works perfectly. Looks like it was the black pole on the jack....i'm guessing it was a lil' close to the barrel of the plug on entry. Good times. Still love EBMM's. ;)

I also moved the trem cavity ground....that's my design suggestion just because if you ever have issue with that particular ground it's way easier to get to.

Glad thats over. :D
