I was just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. When I switch to the piezo pickup the sound for my 7th string alone is cut out if I depress the whammy bar, even when the string continues to vibrate! Also the volume for the first string is noticeable lower than any of the other strings.

I was wondering if this is something that I could fix myself with some guidance. I would hate to RMA my guitar. It is only two-three weeks old! :(

There is nothing wrong with your guitar. The piezo element in each saddle needs the pressure from the strings to work. When you divebomb or just push down on the trem arm, there is no more pressure on the saddle, and no sound because of it.

BTW I love that dog picture. It is simply odd. :D

The other strings continue to sound when I depress the bar. I guess the tension in those strings does not change as much as the low B string?

Without seeing the guitar, that would be my guess. Try this....Lower the bridge plate a bit, then raise the B saddle. By doing this there is more pressure, and it may make that string work as long as the others.
