Small dots.....the inlays are ok...just the big one saying "JP" is not for me as his siggy is on the headstock....plus, I like the dots.....just me though.
I like the JP inlays. They are unique. It is his signature guitar so it doesn't bother me having JP on the headstock and inlays. Les Pauls have Les Paul written on the headstock yet many people play those.

I have one with the inlays, but in all honesty, I wish it had the dots. I'm a fan of guitar necks with small dots. My next one will definitely have dots (and probably an extra string).
I don't like the dots personally. They are too small.Might as well not even have them on there. I do like guitars with no dots at all that looks kinda cool.

I've got the JP inlays, even though his initials are't the same as mine.
I like inlays that are not plain ol' dots or squares. Makes the guitar a little more unique. I'd love to see MusicMan do some of those intricate inlays (think of the Ib@nez Jem with that vine inlay or whatever it is).. not a copy of the Jem, but something equally elaborate. Or some other 'themed' set of inlays like PRS's bird ones. Maybe portraits of knuckleheads?
I like the inlays on mine. Other than the JP on the first fret, the sheilds are small much like the dots but add a little class to the guitar, in my opinion. The JP on the first fret is also cool and the craftsmanship of the inlays are top notch.
