Hi guys, Im new to the forum. I just received my JP6 w/piezo last week. The first time I tried everything, it worked fine. Later that night however, I went to use the piezo and could barely hear it. I checked everything (leads, batteries, volumes etc) and the signal was still very weak! Towards the end of that night, it started to work again and I thought nothing of it. A few days later I used the piezo again and it wasnt working again and its been the same since!

Any ideas what might be causing this???

Is this type of thing common with the Petrucci piezo???

I have owned an Axis for a few years now and have never had a problem with it. Ive also heard many good things about EBMM's build quality so I ever so slightly shocked that this has happened. Other than the piezo, the guitar is beautiful and plays and sounds like a dream.

Cheers in advance for any advice or help!

Grant.

If you push on the bridge, bringing the bottom of it down further in the cavity, does the signal become stronger? There was a thread about the bridge height causing this problem a few weeks ago I think... I don't own a piezo equipped JP (but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night :p), but would like to own one, so I usually read all the piezo threads. I may be leading you in the wrong direction, though. Worth a try at least...

Good luck.

Yep either contact your dealer of Customer Service, one or the other will take care of you, are you sure it is not the battery? Test your battery with a VO meter just to make sure:)

This happened to me too...

Contact customer service. They should be able to figure it out.

Gman welcome to the forum - except its not etiquette around here to post a problem that circumvents EB Customer Services.
I don't know what country you are in but the all the contact info is here.

I have a Piezo and you must ensure that you have a good battery.
EB guitars come equipped with a Duracell battery - I mention this because some members have experienced problems with other brands being marginally smaller in size.

Hope you fix this easily - and post some pics of yer axe - we'd all love to seeit.
