Hi there everyone,
Just a little question really: I was at a JP clinic here in the UK at Sound Control shop in London.
While JP was on the stage various question were being asked & one of these qeuestion was about his guitar. He was asked if he like the six string. OF COUSRE HE SAID HE LOVED IT!!! :D

He did say though that he wanted to make some changes to the guitar at some point/or there will be some changes made to the sig model.

I don't think he had time to go into it because of other questions needed to be asked.

So what I'm asking is: A, What are these changes to the guitar,B When might this happen?

Sorry if I'm being a nosey parker.lol

Warmest wishes/regards.

FRET.:)

Ya see if I'm gonna spend this amount of money on a guitar then I'd like to know this before buying one.

Thanks for all your help.

its been talked about. BP (Sterling Ball) has mentioned it ...

My guess (just a guess based on being around here too much) is that it will get done when JP is happy with it. THat being said - im sure tours etc make it hard for the people that need to be involved to get together to talk and try things out.

Speculation is that the neck will be cut deeper to allow better higher fret access. Also the d-sonics will replace the old pickups if they haven't already. Don't know what else might happen. Maybe the Siltucci model that was shown on another thread?

What I understood is that the horn areas of the guitar would be changed for better access. I'm not an authority on this and don't claim to know any inside info., but that was just speculation. I didn't hear anything about making the neck thinner.

Deeper horn cut outs kinda like his old Ibanez guitars......they were deep and allowed total access....or else they'll maybe alter the contours more rather than cutting away more timber......who knows!

Is this more speculation or do you know this to be so?

Still these facts are not known? We are guessing.

This is what I'm trying to get to the bottom of really.

Thanks for all your help though. The case goes on.

So other than the D-Sonic, which we've all seen him use, does anyone know anything at all?

The D-Sonic is now shipping on the JP models. On the 7 string the blade faces the bridge, on the 6 strings the pickup is rotated so the blade is on the "inside"

Per my conversations with ______ there's some tweaking going on here and there, but as of right now there are no other changes set in stone.
