"No midgets were harmed in the making of this film."

I am bound by law to say that.

This would be Ben (Oldtoe) playing a Stealth Bongo and wondering how all that lint got on this shirt.

bassfest02.jpg

And here is Ben's Evil Twin, Ben, playing my newest blue Bongo HS.

bassfest04.jpg

Larry (mobay45) would never be this happy again.

bassfest05.jpg

I believe that's Larry's Evil Twin, Larry, playing regular Larry's Bongo.

Yes, we had mostly Ernie Balls, but not all.

bassfest10.jpg

Here, I have fallen fast asleep while playing salsa on Paul's Medallion Gold fretless.

bassfest12.jpg

Ray Duke plays Andy's (smallequestrian) Sterling while Andy plays what I think is his own Bongo. I lost track.

I was pretty sure this was an alien artifact, but someone later told me it's a Gibson.
I didn't even know Gibson made basses anymore.

This bass was very popular and made me once again consider fretless, at least until this morning when I wasn't drunk anymore.

bassfest16.jpg

Where did they all come from?

bassfest19.jpg

Ben brought his Wal over, so Ray played it for a while to make him feel better.

bassfest21.jpg

Larry and Paul discussing feminine hygiene products.

bassfest23.jpg

For those of you who remember Pickin' and Grinnin', here you have Poppin' and Wankin'.

There was one more in the closet, but I was too distracted to get it out.

bassfest28.jpg

Surveying the bassscape.

bassfest29.jpg

Many but not all of the attendees.

bassfest31.jpg

Apparently, my head tastes "like chicken".

John, up from Austin via New Orleans, also in love with the MG Bongo.

Hey, nice hat, Paul!

There were a few more and the other guys took some, too...in the studio, that sort of thing, I think.

As long as my new Bongo comes to me and not Andy, you can call me anything you want.

Sleepy.

I missed my afternoon coffee, too, so I better go get a coke if I'm going to make it through the Pats game!

This is just a thing of beauty!!! Only 1 single hummer?!?!?!?!?!
You might be blinded by the flame bass, but there is a Rolls Burgundy fiver behind it. The one I have on order couldn't make it for the evening.

We had a fine time, Bill. Denham Springs isn't that far. Next time, if there ever is a next time, you have to try to make it.
