i just got my sterling about 2 weeks ago and it is by far my favorite bass ever! heres a pic, it's freshly torted.

My sterling is black/maple also... I have a black pickguard on it currently but might change it out in the future, if i ever feel like coughing up the $. Tort looks pretty nice on it.

yeah, the bathroom was the only well lit place to take the pic and i didn't feel like going outside
i thought it was a pretty funny place to take a pic of a bass too.
