I'm really taking a liking to that Silo Special in Vintage Sunburst. Now its just a mere decision between the Silo and a BFR Luke in Walnut Burst or BFR Albert Lee.

Thanks as always Foggy :)

Larry, the best open, smooth, and clear sounds I would say are from the BFR AL

Out of all the BFRs that have come out so far, the AL was the first one to make me go and order one for myself...

I believe we had a similar conversation on the phone when I ordered my EB Wah.

Regardless, I think there may be a phone call coming your way by the end of the week. :)

I think I decided on a Silo Special SSSm Vintage Sunburst, Rosewood fretboard, trem, Piezo non-matching headstock with a vintage white pearloid pick guard.

Looks good in my mind...

Larry,

I too have been thinking about vintage white on a new EBMM. I was hoping it would come with those sweet cream colored knobs and PU's pictured on that AL in the 2008 Color thread. After contacting CS (they rock so much!), it would appear that Vintage White PGs will be matched with black PUs and black knobs.

Not sure if that matters to you or not. I think the black PUs/knobs w/Vintage White on Vintage Sunburst would look pretty sweet since there's shades of black in the body. In my case, I was thinking of a solid body color that doesn't seem to jive with black PUs/knobs on a Vintage White PG.

Good luck.

Pete, you're making me second guess my decision not to go with an AL BFR :D At the time it seemed like too much $...but I'm hearing nothing but fantastic things about it.

So, what is the config you purchased for yourself?

Thats kind of a bummer. When I call to place my order I'll have to see whether I could get a set of covers or knobs to match. Or I'll end up going with plan B. 2008LE Silo Special SSS Rosewood fretboard, non-matching, trem.

You can't get a piezo on the 2008LE correct?
