This is a bit more tricky since I dont really need a specific color or model. I need to see as many pics as possible (that are good lol) of 1) FLAMED Maple tops and 2) QUILT Maple tops. I need to decide which I want to go with on the 20th Anniversary Silhouette which I want to order at the end of Summer or something like that, and of course I need to see the two cuz I'm gonna go with the upgraded top of my liking :D. Thank you for your cooperation :D.

Pete, thanks a lot for the pics. I believe I preffer the quilt over the flame, even tho I love the flamers as well. I guess I'll go with quilt for the 20th Silo and flame for the Y2D in the future so I can have the best of both worlds :D.

My $0.02 opinion.

I've held both versions of the Y2D and to me, the color choices seem better suited to the quilt.

The Carmel Burst color, which I've not seen in person, seems to be alot more translucent and better suited to having the flamed top.

Hopefully, I (or most likely PeteDubaldo- dammit, he gets to see it first.. ) will have pics soon of the 20th in the upgraded flamed top.

Hopefully something from the first batch of Silhouettes arrives soon, but I'm thinking it will be August before they hit the streets.

The Caramel Burst on JPs guitar (which I did see up close and in person) was simply gorgeous, and made me start lusting for the Anniversary Silhouettes.

On the y2d, I feel that the Purple Sunset shows off the grain best of all, with Tobacco Burst next, followed by De-Purple Burst. ALL 3 colors are beyond beautiful on those guitars, though!

Looking at all those Y2D's puts a tear in my eye ... what a gorgeous guitar!

Tough call quilt vs flame. I really debated it myself, but I have an Axis SS in quilt so thought a flame was the perfect complement.

Get one of each, I say. :D
