I have a new SBMM Ray34 (review coming soon) and have heard that the EBMM pick guards do indeed fit these basses. However, the Ray34 has the new style profile pickup (like the Bongo H), while it appears that the Stingray single H still have the old style- the double 'ears' on the thumb rest area.

So maybe I shouldn't order a pick guard? ...

The Ray34 does have a different pickup shape as you've noticed. So, unless the EB SR4's are changing their pickup shape aswell then I can't see the pickguard fitting. Check with Customer Service.

I mention the pick guards fitting in an earlier thread about the Sterling instruments and I now must apologize and retract my statement.

The only USA guard that will fit on the Sterling by Music Man line seems to be the SR5 guard. (I didn’t actually “bolt it down” but all the holes line up properly.) The SB14 and Ray34 will not take the USA guards.

Sorry to anyone that read my post and was mislead to believe they would fit.
