Started rehearsing with a new band and the bass player (who I have known for over 30 years) kindly gave me this old Tokai Z11 Metaldriver pedal.

I've used all my balls through it and it's a great pedal.

I can see why this guy raves about them, and I agree with his comments

What can you actually say about frequency knob?Does it change tone or affect any other parameters so you can hear it? BTW the HC rewiev is awesome!

I am so crap at trying to explain things like this!
By using the frequency control you can dial in the pedal to your amp.
It's like when you tune a car engine - you just know it's right from the sound of it.
Also, by backing the gain all the way off and upping the level control it's like the Seymour Duncan Pickup booster pedal.

Reminds me of stuff floating about when I first started playing. There was always quirky pedals like this at friends houses that I used to jam with.
