Hi, i want to make a clear acrylic pickguard for my 2004 sr4 (trans teal) using a lazer cutter (which i have access to). I need to have a line drawing of the pickguard to use to cut out the shape, i was wondering, does anyone have one?

the file format would ideally be .dxf but i could try with any other format!

thanks for your help, Pete.

This can actually be done pretty easily man. Remove you old PG, using a very fine point pencil or pen, trace it. Then you need to scan the tracing and save the file as a JPEG (I think I can check this out tomorrow morning). the JPEG can be brought into most CAD packages and converted to a spline. Once in this format, it can be saved off as a DXF file.

I'm about to do this for my Silo Special. Juts having a hard time finding the time.

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

I'd be interested to know if you managed it? I don't have access to a pick guard to trace but looking for a dxf or dwg!
