As some might have noticed from my incessant posting on the subject, I'm doing a neck swap between a roasted maple Gold Roller and an all rosewood Silhouette. I'll have the rest of the cash either by Friday or Monday, so I've got to hop on it.
I'm looking to go HSS, what would be some cool single coil options for the middle and neck positions?
It cannot be muddy, and probably shouldn't be ice-picky.
I've got a Bareknuckle Painkiller in the bridge, but the single coils are going to be used primarily for clean stuff.
For a Gilmour sound?
For a gritty blues sound?
For a bell-like, chimey sound?
For an Yngwie shred sound?
For Luke's transitions?
Active?
I'd love to hear about the some cool boutique and artisan single coils.
Any other cool mods? Active electronics? Recommended pots? Pickup routing n switching?
