I was adjusting a stingray according to the FAQ's specs, but I got confused with the height of the pickups. First, it says "The factory specifications for the pickup height is 6/32" or 4.76mm from the top of the plastic between the pickup covers to the bottom of the G string" but then it says "6/32" or 4.8mm from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole piece on your pickup".

So... is it from the pickup cover or the pole pieces?

Also, the FAQ mentions the following as well: "The pickup should be 4/32" to 5/32" on the bass side and slightly closer (4/32" to 5/32" on the treble side."

Why not have a single list with factory specs instead of answering the same questions 3 times with different answers? I'm sorry if I misread something, as English is not my first language.

The pole pieces are the parts of the pickups that sense the string and affect the sound, not the plastic cover. So I'd measure to the surface of the poles, especially since the amount of polepiece length sticking out of the cover can vary.
