Hey there-

I have a 2017 Luke 3 HSS. Before I spend money to take it in, do you think the volume in position 4, the middle and front single coils, normally will drop significantly? Mine does and wonder if there’s a switch problem.

Thanks!

It should drop a bit, but not significantly.

Can you take a picture of the switch wiring? Maybe there's something obvious going on.

Normally the "notch" positions will have a decrease in volume due to phase cancellation. Has your Luke always been this way? The active electronics in those are designed to compensate in the 2 and 4 positions, and there is a little trim pot on the electronics that controls how much compensation there is.

I don't think that's right. I do see it on the current HSS offering's control diagram (can't find an older one at the moment), but on the schematic, it's set up to work on all the single coil positions.

Anyhow ... hopefully the OP can get his issue sorted out.
