hey guys, im new on the forum and i would like to know if you can help me choose a good bridge pickup to pair with a liquifire for my guitar
my guitar is a neck-through agathis body with licensed FR and maple neck/rosewood fretboard, model LTD m-200fm, i think ltd discontinued it
but anyway, im looking for a kind of versatile bridge pickup that has good harmonics and a kind of thick sound, isnt that loud so i can get less noise, and can suit thrash metal and prog metal solos and some riffs. the bands i hear are d theater along with metallica, sometimes liquid tension experiment and also petruccis solo album suspended animation
i had thought of the new crunch lab or maybe the d sonic to play DT/metallica, but i wont have the possibility to try them, so i was hoping u guys could help me
which one u think would suit me the best and make a good pair along with the liquifire? if u find that another pickup is better for me, plz make me now
thx

when i said that i wanted the b pickup to make a good pair with the liquifire,i meant that the bridge pickup hopely doesnt make a difference in volume when i change from one to another, and i also forgot to say i havent bought any of those yet hahah my guitars still with stock pups

Buy the crunch lab. If the pair works for DiMarzio and Petrucci, and you like Petrucci's tone ... it will probably work for you.

Come on chaps, let's not all flex our sarcasm muscles together.
Dreamtallica..... welcome to the Ernie Ball Music man forum. As the boys have pointed out, it's perhaps not the best place to ask for pickup advice on a non EBMM guitar, the DiMarzio Forum would probably be more appropriate.
While you're on here, why not check out some EBMM threads and find out about the rather nice guitars they make. I'm told the John Petrucci model is an exceptionally fine guitar and you might want to consider buying one.

This is the DiMarzio forum now, BP has to have all his stuff out by Friday.
The best place to ask for advice on Dimarzios is over at the SD forum.
WHAT NOW?!?! :mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::mad::mad:

No seriously, OP.

Come on over to DimarzioForum.Com and ask your question there. Not that this isnt an experienced forum its just, that this is more a DiMarzio/Pickup specific question and whilst yes EBMM uses DiMarzios you will find more specific expertise.

Plus this thread is kind of dubious since the only connection to EBMM in this thread is the fact that JP's guitar has a Liquifire in the neck.

You'll have to forgive us, we don't get out much.

Anyway, stick around- you already passed the initiation. This is, indeed, the forum where we talk about the SBMM line. Patpark, who's one of or perhaps THE top guys (sorry pat, I'm not entirely clear on the hierarchy) in the world of SBMM even posts here fairly regularly.

hehe thx man
however, in fact i just recently got a msg from a friend that had a question about his sbmm jp50 guitar
he is also planning to change the stock pickups of his guitar, and he asked me if i could ask u guys about the change from stock to petruccis pups
do u think that it would make a noticeable change, if he changes his jp50 stock pups for the c lab and liquifire?
thx
