Hi guys,

My jp6 was built January 08, its a standard jp6 not the bfr version, does anyone know if I'm right to assume that it will be running the D-sonic and an air norton pickup as opposed to the liquifire and crunch lab? I need to know as I'm contemplating switching the bridge pickup to maybe an evo II but ned to know what is definitely in the neck position to match it to.

Cheers!!!

The pu'ps changed afew months ago - not sure exactly when, but i'm 100% sure it was well after Jan 08 - so yeah, yours will have the D Sonic configuration.

They changed in June, IIRC. So you have the D-sonic and custom neck pickup (like an Air Norton but is not actually one).

The pickups where first changed in '06 to the D-sonic in the bridge and then again in June of '09 when the bridge was changed to the crunch lab and the neck pickup to the liquifire.

awesome thanks guys! thinking I'm going to go for an Evo II bridge and Evo neck setup, as that way I can can clean it up more when rolling down volume for fusion/jazzier stuff and got still get the singing harmonics and crunch. Just think it will suit the Cornford better and it's just making it that little bit more unique :)
