<div class="bbWrapper">I finally got a digital camera for my wife......and here are my two Albert Lee guitars. The trans gold is loaded with birdseye although I didn&#039;t take that good a pic. I&#039;ll take better ones when I learn more about the camera!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">That blue one is kinda familiar <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin :D" data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /> but o-o-oh that Trans Orange is sweet with a matching headstock and white pearl guard!! Beautiful guitars!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Very, very nice guitars.<br /> <br /> I visited an Albert Lee concert last week here in Holland, i expected him to play his pearl blue trem model but instead he played a trans red hardtail model, also very nice!! (is there a color that wouldn&#039;t look great on this guitar?<img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin :D" data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /> )<br /> <br /> Anyway, enjoy them,<br /> <br /> Michell</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Having never blazed an AL up, I was wondering what the neck profile is similar to. I really like the aesthetics and I&#039;m going thru one of those meltdown phases where I sell a load of gear to replace it with other stuff. This time I&#039;m thinking of MM&#039;s as axes since I got the amp and effect rig down to a science. Thanks guys.<br /> <br /> Jon Z.<br /> <br /> <br /> PS: I&#039;m familiar with the Axis, Axis Sport, and JPM necks. <br /> <br /> If anyone neds to know, stylisticaly I fall somewhere in between a shredder and an indie rock guy. That being said my current band falls somewhere between Failure and mars volta. Thanks again.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Jon,<br /> <br /> You have got to try an AL, man - all EB/MM necks are sweet, and the Albert Lee is no exception, but the overall guitar design in terms of ergonomics and balance simply can&#039;t be beat - in your lap or on a strap, these guitars are practically invisible! they&#039;re stealth axes!! uber-comfortable...<br /> <br /> The neck (imho) is similar to an Axis, but without the asymetrical back carve - more a solid D shape... I switch very comfortably between my Axis necks and ALs without a thought... The Petrucci is a beautiful neck too, of course, but it&#039;s wider and thinner and definitely feels very different from either the Axis or AL... <br /> <br /> Hope this helps,<br /> <br /> Jim</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Jim,<br /> <br /> Thanks for the advice. It&#039;s a shame these guys don&#039;t have a custom shop to make me on with 2 &#039;buckers. Tho&#039; that can be remedied with SD Little 59&#039;s and such (I favor these more than full size &#039;buckers). Currently I play teles and jazzmasters and the AL seems like a natural progression.<br /> <br /> Thanks man.<br /> <br /> Jon Z.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I&#039;ll have more this weekend. I really want to get some nice close-ups of the birdseye on the trans gold. Thanks for asking<img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I am just wondering how confortable is the Albert Lee model as the shape is kind of weird to me <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f615.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt="" title="Confused " data-smilie="5"data-shortname="" /></div>

<div class="bbWrapper">The weight and balance couldn&#039;t be better. I love sitting on the couch and just noodle for a while. Very comfortable either sitting or standing. The neck shape is simply fantastic. Best I&#039;ve ever felt by far!</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">The shape seemed odd to at first too...once I convinced myself it was &quot;50&#039;s Futuristic&quot; rather than &quot;Pointy 80&#039;s Metal&quot; I was ok with it, and now I really like it.</div>
