I got this guitar in a trade with vexed73 a little less than a year ago, and it's been my main axe ever since... just thought I'd show off some pics of the guitar in action...

Schweet!!!

Too bad the other guys in your band don't play quality instruments though.

Not yet they don't. ;)

Actually the last pic is from my alt-rock band, The Branches. The bassist, Alyska, REALLY wants a Stingray because she loves the necks on them, and Liana, the rhythm guitarist, wants an AL or a Silo Spec for the same reason. Liana's about 5'3 and 120 pounds so the smaller size of the SS appeals to her.

cool stuff! Funny how the color of the guitar looks gold in the first picture...

Yeah, that finish really acts funny (but in a good way) with stage lights. It's Gunsmoke Pearl.

5'3 and 120 pounds soaking wet appeals righteously to me too! ;)

Seriously though, lookin’ good there, B2D. That finish appears to change color according to the lighting. Is that a bucker on the bridge or single coil? And which p’ups do you rely on most?

LOL... Liana's a cutie pie and we've been great friends for going on 6 years now. We've never been involved though. She can be a pistol sometimes :p

That's a DiMarzio FRED 'bucker in the bridge. It's a little brighter with better harmonics than the stock C3 that was in there.

I almost never use the #3 position (middle pickup alone) but other than that they all get used.

Likewise for me on the SS. Love 'em! And the SSH combo leaves nothing to be desired, imo. To think of all those years of being closed to that option, Oy!

B2D, I also use all but position #3.

Gunsmoke pearl is the same colour the JP7 has that JP uses mostly right? Man I'd love to have a JP in that colour. Pretty rare though I thought?

Anyway, you got a really cool guitar man! It's a beauty!

Yep! There's a lot to be said for a good SSH setup, although I like to have a bridge bucker with enough brightness to match up tonally with the singles. Thats why the FRED is in there.

I love a good HH setup with a coil split though. And there's nothing like the pure crisp goodness of an SSS guitar.

Yeah... the white and GSP JP's are quite a sight to behold!

Thanks!

I did have hair and glasses back in the GC days. ;) Thinning hair at a young age eventually made me shave my head and LASIK surgery sent my vision from 20/400 to 20/15. I actually kinda like having a shaved had though... showering is a breeze, i never have problems getting hot, and the girlfriend loves it!

I resigned from the Jail House Rockers (notice the logo on the shirt) in late June due to the fact that the frontman's ego, old-fashioned business acumen, and sub-par guitar playing and singing were keeping the band from reaching its full potential... so no more gigs with that band. I now play for an alternative/indie rock band called The Branches and it's a lot of fun and much more challenging and fulfilling to me as a musician. Our next gig is in Bellflower tomorrow night.

thanks for the compliment on the axe. :D It is a pretty slick-lookin' peice of gear.
