Here's the purple Silo Special I got last week from Dr.Bob together with Noodle my 24 fret hardtail.Nice pair dontcha think?
I'll also take this opportunity to big it up for the vendor. When he saw I was gassing bad for Mr B's SuperSport he offered to refund me.Now that's something you dont come across too often.
A top fella and a credit to this forum in my book.
The guitars? well I'm lovin em both.Without going into too much detail re comparisons I was expecting the Special to sound more vintage/twangy but its the hardtail 24 fret that wins out on that score.Pos 2 & 4 sound more hollow and quacky on the regular Silo too.The Special does sound more open, fuller with better tonal seperation between the 5 positions and is prolly the better working tool tho.I'll know soon enough once I've got the Special tweaked just right
Both fantastic guitars though and I'd hate to have to choose between them

At the risk of this descending into one of those
"You're great", "No Really you're the greatest" type exchanges so common of bad tv chat shows
I just wanted to fire one straight back and commend Komp as a top soul and good egg.
I've behaved like a difficult teenager throughout this transaction. I imagine myself in an all black bedroom listening to Radiohead bemoaning how no one understands me..
And despite this Komp continues to behave in an exemplary fashion so thanks very much.
I'd like to call you a friend if it suits you.:)

Nice pair of Silo's

Oh, and was it a design choice to place the purple one on the red carpet stripe and the red one on the purple stripe to provide the approporiate contrast for the photo?:p :)
