This is my dream rig... well one of them. This is a 1966 Ampeg B-18-N fliptop. She just got back from the shop, she was recapped and re-coned. The tubes tested at 95% so it has the orgional Ampeg tubes! The sound is God like, so smooth and fat! It's only 80 watts, but it shakes the house. She will replace the SWR rig at my country gig.

Whew. I was very nervous about opening this thread.

What a relief, the most disturbing thing in the pic was the backwards basses.

Joking aside, very nice setup.

I play through a '65 B-15N but it's nowhere near as clean as yours. Mine was a pass around "Ho" that resided in every bar on "Whiskey Row" in Prescott, AZ for many years...she ain't pretty but she hums along with the best of em....

Psycho, what's going on dude? Nice rig, the pic is priceless. Who needs a drivers license in NC anyway. Aren't we sanctioned by NASCAR to drive just cause we live here..........

Hey Dude, mine is pretty beat up in the back, but they are tough as nails. Ain't they great. Mine served in New Orleans in a wedding band most of its life. I bought it several months ago. This one was gone thru by Rob Hawkins and was given a clean bill of health.

It had to have the speaker reconed because nobody currently makes one that will allow for the flipping of the top. They did an excellent job. I LOVE it! :D

Hey Psycho, we must be neighbors. If you come to Burlington & make a left for a couple of miles. Just wave.

Hey BobbyBass, welcome to the forum!

Speaking of NC drivers I hope you weren't part of that 40 car pile up on I85 today.

Shoot me a PM we might know each other, or at least know somebody we can make fun of. :D

Be careful in your travels. :D
