Does anyone know how to do this?, i need to get to the back of the unit to reconnect one of the wires as it has come lose and has caused the piezo output to not work.

I have had to do this once before but was so long ago that i can not remember how to physically remove the unit.

There are a few little screws on the back of the battery box (probably 4, don't have one handy). Remove them and the box should just pop out.

You'll have a bit of slack in the wires, but not too much. Shouldn't be too bad to solder it back on. Same thing happened to me once, I pulled a little too hard when removing a pickguard and disconnected one of the battery wires.

Well thats the thing, i have removed the four screws but it wont budge. is it just pressed in tightly? I am a little nervous to just start yanking on things.

I just removed one from my JP - I actually slid a modelling knife blade around the perimeter and freed it that way - it's not for the feint of heart that one!

Yeah i just got it. Took my Leatherman and pried from underneath inside the cavity and it came right out. Wires reconnected and it all works now.

Thanks for the help guys.

Good to know!

I put a new battery in mine the other night during a rehearsal after the one that was in it started to go all buzzy, and I had nothing. After looking it all over and figuring I had pulled a wire loose changing the battery I pulled a battery out of a pedal and it worked again. Turned out I had a brand new 9V dud.
