I want to put a Piezo bridge on my Silhoutte Special. I e-mailed
customer service and got no response. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can buy the MM piezo bridge?? Thanks

TwinsRock -

They can take a few days to get back to ya....I recently sent something their way and it took a week or two, probably because of the NAMM show.

On the other hand, I did ask them a similar question as yours as a followup to the note I'd sent them previously, and they got back to me the same day.

FYI: In my case, I inquired if they sold the standard MM trem separately so I could convert my hardtail Axis Sport, and if they could recommend a dealer who could do the mod. Unfortunately, they didn't recommend it, saying the spec was pretty exact and that it could ruin the guitar if it was done...hope yours has a trem already! :)

Good luck!

You can always call, if you need a quick answer.

I asked this same question about an Axis SS and was told I'd be better off buying one with the piezo already installed (i.e. it would be expensive and would required a good bit of reconfiguration to the guitar.

It's not just the pickup, it's also the volume control and the switch to determine whether you're using the magnetic pickups, the piezo, or a combination of the two.

At the time, I decided I would just stay with what I had, but later changed my mind and ordered a SS with piezo (i.e had an attack of GAS).

I know there is some work, but I am really good pals with an incredible guitar tech here in town. If I can get the bridge, he will do the work for me. I e-mailed them 2 weeks ago. Is that a ushual response time? I have twin babies at home so buying another one just is not an option. Heck buying this one was ill advised, but I had to have it.

Hey twinsrock365,

If you're based out of ventura, try and take a roadie up to ebmm in san luis obispo. Very cool op over there. They'll show you around.

In spite of what Keith says, we do not offer tours. Also the piezo bridge is a replacement part only...we would only sell one as a direct replacement for a faulty part. Also it needs a pre amp, and major modifications. With the cost of the parts and mods, it might be better to look around for a used one.
