Hi,

I have a Luke with piezo and it's amazing guitar!!. But is it possible to turn piezo bridge to floating one,so i can use it as a tremolo?. I tried to remove one of the springs...did not work!.
Thanks.

If you float any vintage trem with piezo besides the JP's the piezo will lose signal (decrease of volume) or not work. I can't remember off hand. But the vintage trem with piezo has to sit flush so that it is able to pick up the vibrations of the strings. So no you cannot float the Luke trem. Unlelss it is the non piezo type.

BTW welcome to the forum.:D

The piezo Luke comes from the factory with 3 springs mounted, which exert enough force to keep the trem flat against the body. Removing a spring should be sufficient to allow the trem to float.

There's nothing wrong with removing that spring and getting the trem to float. But once you float, the piezo might not work so good (or at all). The magnetic pickups, however, will still work just fine.
