I have a SR5 with Piezo.
When I was changing the strings, the G string saddle transducer fell out of the saddle.

I was wondering if it is broken or just needs glueing back into place?
Would super glue be ok, or do I have to replace the saddle.

It is working ok, after I made sure the string is pushing down front and back of the saddle, but I would like to repair it.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might give me.

I wanted to put it out there before troubling customer service.

Well, that happen to my guitar player from the band on JP Music Man guitar at E string saddle! Little tiny brass nickel plated grain fell out and he lost it somewhere!

First he improvised something and make his own brass grain, but did not work well, than he ordered at our local dealer whole new saddle bridge part!

When part arrived it was necessary to disassemble whole bridge, solder off separately each saddle, and than solder back each saddle...oh my God what a mess!

But now is everything OK, thank God! :p

If you're just replacing one saddle I don't think that all the saddles would have to be desoldered just the one affected. It's not too bad of a job, Radio Shack has a pretty cool desoldering tool for around $10, you just have to take your time. Bring the circuit board above the outside level of the bass, protect the bass finish, desolder, thread new saddle through hole in bass, solder, put everything back together. I'm no solder pro but I managed to fumble through removing and intalling my piezo bridge on my white Bongo, works like a champ.

one thing to keep in mind, that kind of work will void any warranty you may still have. You didn't mention how old the bass is so I thought I'd mention it.

I'm having the same problem on the e-string saddle. How much did the new saddle cost if you don't mind me asking? or was it under warranty?
