The Piezo channel on a new BFR JP6 is noisy and intermittent. Humbucker channels are normal. I cannot find any obvious electrical issues. Have not had any luck with mail to EB. Am currently in a different country than the guitar was purchased in, so point of sale help in person is not an option. Has anyone else had such issues?

I had a fault (I had taken my guitar to pieces though) which was the wires going to the battery compartment - this caused an Intermittent
fault. Check them out?

Thanks 'Spudmurphy'. Only had the neck off so far (planning on installing machine screws). Will give it a look. Quick followup to you. Do you use both stereo and mono cables, one or the other when you play?

Well to be honest I tried 3 ways:-
1) a stereo lead out into a 6165 Stereo Splitter pedal - sending the Piezo to my AER and the mags to my tube amp of choice
2) a stereo lead out into a "simple" EB splitter box - then out to the amps above.
3) two mono leads out - which to be honest looked a bit pretentious.

I also purchased a "special" Jack plug that has very minor abbrasive qualities, from Studio Spares. That cleaned up the jack sockets on the guitar and splitters. Needles to say - check your leads too (but I guess you already knew that lol )

Sometimes its the simple things, forgive me if you already tried this....I had the same issue with a JPXI-7 and a JP12-6 a year ago and found the pressure points were off on the saddle....string her back up, get her to pitch and then get your allen screw to adjust saddle height. Adjust it high and low while strumming the string with the Piezo on. I did this and the crackling and intermittant issue went away and never came back......

If all else fails you cant go wrong with CS....they rock!

Intermittent makes me think of a battery connection as well, though it could be many things.

Best bet (always is) is to contact Customer Service (link is in my signature). Email, call or PM them and they'll help out.
