So I am now a proud owner of a JP 7 String BFR as of about 6 hours ago! I only have one complaint: I plugged it in when I got home and the Piezo pickup wasn't working. Well, it worked for the A string and that's it, and even with that, it sounded really bad. It came with a new Duracell 9V but I changed it thinking it might be bad (I tested it on my tongue and it was brand new). But I grabbed a new one anyway, and it still didn't work. Called Guitar Center, guy walked me through, "Is the cord in the right input?...Is the toggle switch all the way up?...Is the Piezo volume up?..." And the answer was always yes and the sound out of the guitar was always crap. He said he'd call Ernie Ball tomorrow (Monday 8/23) and let me know around noon...but this is a brand new $3500 guitar. I want to know now!!! So, if anyone might have an idea, your 2 cents would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

You should call or email Ernie Ball customer service. There is a large chance that people will get displeased with you posting such a thing here... so to save you from any war wounds, I'll politely suggest what I just did.

Beth @ ernieball.com is fantastic. I have only dealt with her, but I hear Derek is badass too. So, email or call. The number is on the ernieball.com website. Customer service with these guys is literally top notch.

Thanks man. I'm a new customer to Music Man so it's nice to hear they have good customer service. I can't see why a war would get started, but you would know, not me. So yeah, thanks again.
