I've heard that some flatwound strings have silk that can affect the piezo bridge (due to the silk contacting the piezo saddles).

Can somebody comment or show a picture of a bass bridge with EB flats on it (preferrably 5 string Bongo)

Thanks

I've got flats on both of my Bongo 5 strings with piezos. No problems. I've used 5-6 different brands of flats, too. The both currently wear the EB Group IIIs.

The only strings that don't work with the EB piezos are nylon wrapped flats.

i think that you should never have the silk contacting any bridge, piezo-loaded or not.
