Ok, this has been driving me crazy for the longest time now... What is the best way to get that real clear acoustic sound? Every time I play through it on the clean channel, when it's strummed it makes an awful twangy buzz sound. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
I have the guitar running through an effects board which is going into the effects loop in the back of the amp.

Thanks! :D

Could just be your amp. Guitar amps do a lousy job of amplifying piezo sounds.

For best results, run the piezo through a full range rig- acoustic amp, PA, keyboard amp, etc.

what i find works best for me is running the piezo through an LR Baggs PARA acoustic DI. i run my piezo into that then from the DI into the FOH. i also send the feed from the DI into my AER acoustic amp. those amps are killer for getting an amazing acoustic tone.

the para di, for me, replicates the piezo acoustic sound with superb clarity and a fantastically versatile EQ too.

Yup as has been said above send it to a dedicated acoustic amp - for me the AER does a great job.

The piezo really comes to life when you unplug it from a tube amp and run it thro an acoustic set up.

take the battery out, make sure the battery contacts are "contacting" it enough.
I've had this happen on my AL. Bend the copper contacts out toward you. If not, it will sound distorted and crappy if the contact is not made good.

...oh and, direct to PA/acoustic amp; skip the guitar amps.
