I'm considering drinking the Markbass Koolaid, so am wondering if the Markbass heads are voltage switchable (ie. between 110/115v and 220/240v)?

I think I can get Mark Bass Mark (they gave me a folder with all there products), what are you chasing?

Could be the g-o, Colin. Can you PM me a price and availability on a Little Mark II? I know the RRP in Aussie pesos ($1495), but a couple of dealers in the country have "email me for best price" on their website. Are you up to the challenge? :D

I was wondering when it will be "switchable" for me here in the heart of the country (metro St. Louis area) to not have to drive 275 miles (Chicago) to a GC to even taste the kool-aid. Three GC's in my area and none have them:mad: .

Sorry for the semi-hijack but I keep hearing all this Markbass stuff constantly but I cannot actually HEAR a single Markbass product without a major road trip:eek:

I am rather happy with my GK rig and so life goes on:p

Thanks BP. I would almost buy one of these unheard on your word alone but I would like to hear the different models and make the choice based on price as well as tone. The koolaid may taste better after I thirst for awhile anyways:D

that's exactly what the rep just told me to say. He heard the one on the EB stage at NAMM...

So, the F1 has the same 500w power output and has the same EQ and other controls, but is even smaller than the Little Mark II? When is it available Downunder?

Fortunately, I've sold 3 (non-EBMM) basses this week so I'm all funded up right now. If the new fancypants F1 Markbass head is not in the country at the moment, those funds could get spent on nappies, champagne and train sets pretty fast. Besides, I was planning to sneak any Markbass purchase into the house next week while the missus is detained in the maternity ward.

I love a man who takes directions

As much as I might have liked to wait 12 months for the smaller and more expensive F-1 to be available downunder, I'm cashed up right now (after selling a few "acme" basses this week), and the coming week presents a wonderful window of opportunity to take delivery of a small GASsy item that can be easily hidden amongst the other gear in the music room. It's domestic politics at play BP, not to mention an element of impatience. GAS and impatience go hand in hand with me.

I'm sure you're right about the F-1, so maybe next year I'll check it out.
