Pink Slinkies w/a Floyd Rose

After years of playing heavy-gauge strings and Les Pauls, I recently switched to Strats with Whammy Bars and Pink Slinkies. I love how silky smooth the EB's play.

However, with both my vintage Fender Tremolo and my Schaller Floyd Rose, I'm snapping strings like crazy. All down at the bridge. I have never had a problem with breaking strings before.

I am a dive-bomber, and play around with the tremolo a lot. I've heard that you're "SUPPOSED TO" get Floyd Rose strings, but I really don't wanna switch. I love my Slinky's! My guitar tech theorized that maybe my saddles need to filed down, but I think it's probably the fact that I'm putting so much stress on the point where the strings curve over the saddle.

I'm sure a bunch of you guys have been thru this before. I'd appreciate any advice or information you can give me. THanks!
