Hello everyone!

I just placed an order today for an HH Stingray from a well known Musicman dealer held in high regards on this forum. Although they did have some HHs on order for stock, I was the first customer order. This suprises me a bit!

Anyway, from what I understand, I have a little bit of a wait. Honeyburst, black pickguard, rosewood fingerboard & HH. This is gonna be toture... Jason

Congrats! And welcome to the forum, sure there is a wait but it IS worth it. I'm on the home stretch of a wait for a lefty Bongo myself and I'm excited.

Make yourself at home, lots of great people here, from the CEO of the company to the beginner bassist. This is THE best forum I've ever attended and I've been on a lot of them, excellent service from the company and the members.

This is a fun place... so have fun! :D

Howdy Jason, welcome aboard.

My take is the dealers who don't pay attention to the board probably don't even know you can go ahead and order a Stingray HH. Thankfully, there are a few of us who get what the internet (and access to the EBMM guys) can do for us.

Congrats on the bass - this a good place to hang while you wait!

Welcome Jasone!

The wait for your "custom" HH Stingray is a rite of passage - speaking from experience, it'll be here before you know it and it will be worth the wait.

There's an untold satisfaction in knowing it was built just for you exactly the way you wanted. :)

Hi Jason and welcome.

I think you aren't waiting for anything longer than anyone else really. So hang out and watch us all suffer along with you. Can be fun.

Especially if you get yours before a certain left handed bongo shows up.

Active forum, very cool! So now I ask a question:

I saw something posted elsewhere about the HHs and speculation that the body was arched or curved a la the Bongo. I would find this hard to believe as it would change the classic look of the SR and Sterling.

What did the HHs look like at the Open House I've read so much about!

the HH SR will look like an SR with an extra pup and a 5 way pup selector switch. So the sterling and sr5 will look exactly the same but w/ an extra pup

Yeah, I figured the curved body thing was either something I read wrong or the poster was smoking crack.

I'm on cable internet, so bring on the photos of HH SRs if you got them...

HS Stingray Prototype (21 frets = Stingray right?) - no chrone electronice cover on this prototype so it tricks you into thinking its a sterling but the production ones will have the chrone cover beneath the knobs

check out the Special Events forum (and the bass forum) and you'll see a bunch of links to photo galleries of pics from open house. youll see a buncha 2 PUP rays and stuff in those photo galleries

Somethin' wrong with that picture. The body and headstock are cut wrong. ;)

Finally glad you non-Bongers can join in the fun. :p

My first EBMM bass is the SR5 and it sold the love on me! I ordered a Bongo and picked up a SR4 in between and I'm going to order a Sterling two pickup and there is a fretless to come down the road. This all after several Fend@%, G&Hell etc, my only regret is that I didn't get an EBMM first, it could of saved me a lot of trouble.

Even though I've sort of decided I'm a four string kind of guy, I will never sell the SR5. If I ever need a fiver I've got a great one!

Life is too short to play crappy basses, everyone should have a Ball! :D

That was "To" the beginning bassist, referring to ME! Now I have to go to bed with the thought of BP being pissed at me, I'll have to put on a fresh pair of Depends now.

Good night BP, from your red booted friend. :D
