I decided that I wanna get a back up bass that has a real 80s vibe to it, so Im lookin for a Fender jazz special, the one that duff mckagan uses, so does anyone know a good site besides ebay to find one, or if ne one is selling one could u let me know? thanks

I've always wondered what model of Fender he used. I thought they were custom jobs or something. I love the sound of his bass, one of the best pick tones I've ever heard.

Yeah he uses an 80 sumthin fender jazz special with seymour duncan hot stack pickups. I really wanna get one in decent condition and upgrade it. any places u know of that i should look?

Sorry - a bit OT, but speaking of Duff, my band & I have decided on a trip to see Velvet Revelver in January - can't wait!

Yeah its a PJ combonation fender, i also read that b4 he joined velvet revolver he was using a ray cause he wanted more growl, but he decided to go back to using the fenders when he joined velvet revolver cause he wanted to stay old school.
