Planning to buy EBMM JP6 BFR

Hello everyone this is my first post here and I also have a few questions for you guys. I am currently saving up for my first EBMM JP6 BFR and I am wondering where is the best place to purchace one. I live in NYC and I would much prefer to buy it in a store not online. Also how complicated is the floating trem on the JP6 is it as much pain to set it up as a floyd rose types of trems?

It's easier to set up than Floyd Rose trems, I've found, but it is still floating. If you're not familiar with a floating trem, it can give you some trouble until you're used to the idea.

I can't recommend a store in NY, but I can recommend calling Eddie at Indoor Storm. He's a phenomenal person, and can answer any other questions you have about it.

Pete Dubaldo posts on this forum a lot too, and is a good dealer from what I hear. Never bought anything there, myself, so I can't speak from personal experience.

If you want to stay local and buy in person, Guitar Center on 14th St has the largest inventory and may have what you are looking for in stock. They can also get others quickly if they are in inventory in other stores. If you want to order custom, Rudy's on 48th and Matt Umanov in the Village are Music Man dealers but don't keep any guitar inventory on hand, usually only basses are in stock. Pete DuBaldo's shop in CT is about 2 hrs north. He's a forum member here keeps good stock, and is great to deal with. You can check out his website - it is in the signature of his posts.

if it helps, I am on Long Island. I am planning to order a JP6 mystic Dream as I get up the cash. I have been to Royal Music in Merrick. They have a really nice selection. Ask for Billy.
