A couple coworkers and I swung by GC cuz one of em wanted to check out guitar amps... so i wandered around to the bass section and i was blown away. The bass section at the SF GC has this little area over to the side - and that whole section was full of MMs. SR5s, Bongos, Sterlings & SR4's... they must have had along 20 MM basses (also about 10 guitars - a few BFRs even).
So - I asked the dude if i could play the natural HS SR4 and he brought it down off the wall for me. I plugged her into a Markbass 2x10 and man it was really, really nice. I liked it a LOT. Position 4 really did it for me. Oh boy am I GASing now.
If they had it in one of the finishes I've got on my "should have soon" list then I would have had to cheat on Pete and snagged it.
But consider this a PSA - check out the SR4 HS people! do it! act now
