A lot of players think they will lose the growl with flats..
You need to experiment the growl is still there you just have to find it.

The truss rod wheel will have to be tightened a little (to bring the neck back in line) as the string guage gose up. The opposite of course as the string guage goes down.
As I use the heaviest guage I can get consistantly Once the truss rod is set you usually will not have to touch it again unless the string guage changes.

Regards

Well,

I just played my second and third gigs with my flats, and let me tell you that I'm in love! I mean I still love the tone I get with my 20th with rounds, but the thump I get with the flats is too cool! I had to tighten the truss about a 1/4 turn but now the action is perfect! It was the first time I had done a truss adjustment myself, ad let me tell you it was very easy.:D I love my BALLS and can't wait for my Sterling 5! The only question I have is FLATS or ROUNDS?
Maybe HALF ROUNDS?;)

I've been experimenting with rounds and half rounds this weekend.....

and I'm here to tell you that there is no tone like the tone that flats give you...

You can take that to the bank, and to the stage....:D

Had to put flats back on before going to Church this morning. They kept the congregation jumping and the drummer smiling......

Imagine that!!!!! ;)
